Breakfast
We offer a choice of set breakfast menus for your selection. On busy days, we have a nice buffet with choices between North and South Indian, continental dishes, fresh fruits and juices, eggs to order etc. We serve breakfast between 7 AM to 11 AM.
If you wake up late, just don’t worry, we will offer you choice of set meal breakfasts even then, through the day. Of course, you can also order a meal or snack post 11 AM.
Meals
Have a look at our menu for the day for meals. Selection of dishes changes every day! Meals are served from 11 AM to 3 PM and 6 PM to 10:15 PM, when we take the last order. Kitchens close at 10:45 PM.

Our specialty is The Tara Niwas Thali.
Our thali is as per the principles of healthy balanced food in Ayurveda. We serve all six flavors in the thali. AND the selection of dishes in thali is as per the season. Dishes served change with season in summers, rains and winter months.

A lot of veggies that we serve come from our own farm. They are fresh and chemical free!
Our orchard at Amer
We have a completely organic farm cum orchard close to Amer Fort. We grow our own vegetables, fruits and spices / condiments here. A lot of these are used in our kitchen at Tara Niwas.
By the way, the orchard also has a delightful 2 room bungalow that’s perfect for a family getaway from city. Loud music, parties are not allowed.
Preserves, pickles, juices, cookies
The welcome drink of Bael you got at check in ( in summer months), the wide range of pickles you see on display, the cookies available for sale are all in house made. Our promise: right priced, lovingly made and to the extent possible, organically produced raw material.
Our contribution towards nature
The kitchen waste is happily devoured by the rabbits! And the cooked food goes into our composting machine. We are a small hotel, but a sensible one!
We make our own chemical free breads, preserves and cookies, that are also available for sale
Limited room service is also available
We serve you safe drinking water, cleaned using R.O. technique. We urge you to NOT buy bottled water from us or anywhere else. Take as much RO clean water from us as you can, save earth from the plastic waste menace of bottled water!
